Shipping & returns
Every artwork leaves my studio in Patensie carefully packed. Here is everything you need to know about getting it home.
Original artworks are shipped within 1–3 working days. Large artworks that travel in a wooden crate need about 2 weeks of preparation before shipping.
Limited-edition prints are shipped within 1–2 weeks, because each print is checked, numbered and signed by hand.
Courier costs are calculated at checkout, based on the size of your artwork. You are also welcome to collect from the studio in Patensie.
My art has found homes all over the world. Prices are shown in your own currency in the US, UK, Europe, Australia and Canada.
Prints: international shipping is R2,500 per order, added at checkout.
Originals: order and pay for your artwork as usual. Because every original is a different size, I then arrange the best courier and email you a separate shipping invoice. Your art is sent as soon as shipping is paid.
Import duties and taxes in your country are paid by the buyer when the parcel arrives.
Prints are sent unframed, rolled in a sturdy tube, ready for the frame of your choice. Only 30 prints are made of each artwork, and each one is numbered and signed.
Changed your mind? You can return an original or a print within 14 days of delivery. It must be undamaged and in its original packaging. Please email me first, then send it back with a tracked courier. Return shipping is paid by the buyer. Your refund for the artwork is paid within 7 days of it arriving back at the studio.
If your artwork arrives damaged, email a photo of the parcel and the artwork to art@hildealetmalan.co.za within 48 hours and I will make it right.
Commissions are made only for you, so they cannot be returned once you have approved the final photo.
