Created as part of The Art of Collaboration, Her India is a portrait of Briony Governer, inspired by her journey to Jaipur and by the Indian heritage that forms part of her story.

Although India is not the place where Briony was born, there is something deeply beautiful about returning to a place that lives somewhere within your history. A place connected to those who came before you, to stories you may not have lived yourself, but that still form part of who you are.

Her journey to India became more than travel. It became a meeting between past and present — between heritage and identity, memory and discovery.

The colours, patterns and energy of Jaipur surround her in this portrait, but at the centre is Briony herself: a woman carrying her own story while reconnecting with a place that, in some quiet way, has always been part of it.

Her India is about roots, belonging and the beautiful ways our heritage continues to travel with us.
