Roomys en Koeldrank is an original artwork created by me, Hilde Alet Malan, together with my four-year-old son, Kobus.
Creating these paintings together has been such a special experience. There is something beautiful about allowing a child’s completely uninhibited creativity to exist alongside my own.
Kobus paints for the pure joy of painting — without worrying about the end result — and I think, as adults and artists, we can learn so much from that.
This piece is colourful, playful and happy, inspired by those simple childhood pleasures that somehow become some of our most treasured memories.
