Sand tussen my Tone was created together by me, Hilde Alet Malan, and my four-year-old son, Kobus.
I love the honesty of children’s art. A child does not stop to ask whether a colour belongs somewhere or whether a brushstroke is perfect. They simply create.
Painting together allowed me to follow his freedom instead of trying to control the outcome, resulting in something spontaneous, playful and full of life.
Sand tussen my Tone celebrates barefoot days, beach adventures and the carefree happiness of childhood.
